My dream has come true! After so many months of hard work, the 1st Charity Discount Book in Kuching- Wow Book is finally out in the market!
The Wow Book is a compilation of gift and discount vouchers from merchants of Kuching, which offers savings of up to 50% in restaurants, hotels & resorts, boutiques, entertainment outlets, and retail outlets. There are 108 merchants joining the 1st edition of Wow Book (Kuching), both nationwide and local merchants.
The numbers of participating merchants in term of Category are as follow:
a) Dining- 42 merchants
b) Retail- 22 merchants
c) Service- 27 merchants
d) Entertainment- 11 merchants
e) Travel- 6 merchants
The launching of Wow Book was held in Boulevard Shopping Mall last weekend. There were a series of games and performances, sponsored by the merchants involved in the Wow Book, being planned for the launching event. We have Loreal Paris and Alvin Leong Photography as the main sponsors of Wow Book. We also have Kenny Sia, Malaysia top blogger to be the ambassador of Wow Book!
The event was very successful! The Wow Book is priced at RM25 each. And RM5 from every book sale will be donated to the charitable organisations of Kuching city. The fund collected during the 2-day launching event was donated to Kuching Autistic Association and Meeting Needs.
This is just the starting of 1st Charity Book in Kuching. I really hope that, with the publication of the Wow Book, will help to raise the awareness to the less fortunate people in town and inspiring people of Kuching to ‘Give Back’ to the society. We ought to do out bits to the society whenever we can. I am sure Wow Book will be seen as the Charity Book for people of Kuching many years down the road!
Thank you to the merchants, sponsors, ambassador and book buyers who support the Wow Book and to those who had made the launching successful!
